MV Lab member Kate Szura has been busy in her last year at URI! While finishing up field work, working hard in her final courses, and writing her thesis, Kate also presented her research "Summer Greenhouse Gas Fluxes Along a 100-fold Nitrogen Gradient in Narragansett Bay" at the NEERS Fall 2016 meeting where she was awarded with Best Graduate Poster!
More recently, Kate was selected from a very competitive group of national applicants to participate in the John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Program where she accepted a placement within NOAA's Office of the Chief Information Officer. She has been living and working in DC since January 2018 where she is working on a project that makes NOAA's atmospheric and oceanic data more easily accessible.
