This summer the MV lab had several exceptional undergraduates that participated in URI's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program.  The program finished with the 7th Annual RI SURF Conference during which all of the students presented their data.  All of the students were also selected to present their research at the URI Leadership Summit being held this September.  Check out their poster titles below.

Heather Chan - DISTRIBUTION OF MACROINVERTEBRATES IN THE NARRAGANSETT BAY ALONG A GRADIENT OF ANTHROPOGENIC INFLUENCE

Jaclyn Friedman - GREENHOUSE GAS FLUXES VARY WITH NITROGEN PULSES ALONG A VEGETATION-DEFINED GRADIENT IN A NEW ENGLAND SALT MARSH

Katie Lynch - DIFFERENCES IN METHANE AND CARBON DIOXIDE FLUXES BETWEEN IFAS BNR TANKS AT FIELDS POINT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

Ryan Quinn - EFFECTS OF NITROGEN ENRICHMENT AND RIBBED MUSSEL PRESENCE ON SALT MARSH GREENHOUSE GAS FLUXES

Thanks everyone for an awesome summer and best of luck in the upcoming school year!
