Heather Chan, one of our fantastic summer SURF fellows, was awarded the very competitiv scholarship to travel to the 2016 ASLO Ocean Sciences Meeting in New Orleans! She will be presenting a poster on her work with our graduate student Melanie Gárate from Rhode Island and Puerto Rico titled "Nitrous oxide production from temperate and tropical oyster species in response to nutrient loading"!! Thank you to the Multicultural Program for making this happen.

Two MV lab members, Liz Brannon and Katie Lynch, presented their research on greenhouse gas emissions from the Field's Point wastewater treatment plant at the New England Graduate Student Water Symposium this weekend.
