Along with helping coordinate a session, our Ph.D. candidate, Rose Martin, presented a poster at the Joint Aquatic Science Meeting in Portland, Oregon! Her presentation was titled "Effects of Phragmites australis invasion and salinity on greenhouse gas fluxes in two New England salt marshes." The Wetland Foundation funded her travel to JASM and you can read more about her project here.

Our masters student, Liz Brannon, received the Niering Travel Award to present at the New England Estuarine Research Society spring meeting in Salem, MA. Her poster titled "The grand experiment: Do smaller nitrogen loads into Narragansett Bay mean larger greenhouse gas emissions at Field's Point?" was a huge hit at the poster session. Keep it up, lady! |
